HP Pavilion g7... any good?

hi everyone!

 

what think purchasing hp pavilion g7-1204sa working in ae?

(amd quad-core a6-3400m processor, ram 6gb, hdd 750gb, windows 7 home premium)

 

it gets rave reviews on amazon 20+ people reviewing , has quad core processor (which understand important thing running ae quickly?) i'm traveling , when @ home run off solar energy prone cut out few seconds every , must buy laptop.

 

i use trapcode usage of ae more simple (e.g. kinetic typography). have computer as possible without breaking bank.

 

any advice gratefully appreciated!

i try more memory - 6gb low ae.  1 thing keep in mind, when using multi-processors, need memory per core.  so, use 4 cores, need @ least 3 gb per core, or 12 gb.  16 more realistic, need memory os , other processes well.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
