Thread: Dual login on dual monitors

i want able login on different users on 2 screens. possible? nice if have left screen , gf have right.

i'm using ubuntu 10.04 gnome, , have nvidia graphics card.

i suggest using multiple x screens.

assuming you're using proprietary nvidia drivers, press alt+f2 , type:
code:
gksu nvidia-settings
enter password. go "x server display configuration".
click on 1 screen. under "display" tab, press "configure", , select "separate x screen". there should checkbox says "enable xinerama" below monitor graphics. make sure not checked.
select other screen, , same thing (make separate x screen).
click "save x configuration file", , restart computer.

if you're not using proprietary nvidia drivers, try searching how make 2 separate "x screens". other that, depending on how comfortable command line, edit xorg.conf.
