Thread: How to dual-boot with XP after completely removing XP?
i running hp pavillion dv6000 ubuntu 11.04 (classic mode(gnome), no effects), , wanting use programs aren't supported in wine. don't want rid of beloved ubuntu, want dual-boot windows xp. have windows xp install cd, stops in middle of installation saying 'setup not find hard disk drives installed on computer'. when installing ubuntu, erased windows xp, need mess partitions or something? if so, how do that? best way me acheive want? preferably, in step-by-step instructions.

or try backing ubuntu installation using remastersys http://maketecheasier.com/backup-ubu...sys/2008/12/22 backup ubuntu, format whole disk , xp , remastersys installation of ubuntu.
