Thread: Installing without replacing previous OS

i've seen site 10.10 release of ubuntu has bug in when select "use entire partition" or "use entire disk" before installing, whole hd (including former os) wiped out. can give me detailed steps on how make sure dual-boot installation not replace former os , successful?

that's not bug .....what think term means "use entire disk". if select use entire desk....on otherhand if select partition use entire partition. there nothing ambiguous this. pretty straightforward. don't understand?

can give me detailed steps on how make sure dual-boot installation not replace former os , successful?
have setup dual boot before? 10.10 no different.
need detailed steps on setting dual boot or detailed steps on guaranteed dual boot?
