Thread: PC Crashes using Skype with C310 Webcam

hi,

have found few threads regarding issue none seem i've got or old re-open thread.

ubuntu 11.04
skype 2.2.0.35-1
logitech quickcam
logitech c310 720hd webcam

basic: video call in skype using c310 causes pc crash @ random times during session. quickcam seems ok, awful experience.
thought might pulseaudio problem did following:
added autospawn = no .pulse/client.conf
killall pulseaudio
restarted skype
changed audio settings in skype use mb chip ich5
restarted pulseaudio -d


no difference (if crashes quicker) except cpu load halved.

pc freezes , unresponsive. lights on keyboard flash.

have no idea if sound or video card related.

happens within 2 minutes of starting video call using older webcam works ok (though cpu temp climbs 70degrees.

system old. p4 2.8, 1.5gb ram, 128mb ati radeon 9200 gpu.

camera works fine using cheese , can create video's ok. skype has issue , on;y newer web cam (though not tested gtalk video call).

i'm hoping info in screenshot point problem.
