Thread: question about having 2 hard drives

i wondering how things work when have 2 hard drives on machine. i've never had before wonder how o/s install goes then. installer automatically recognize other drive? format both of them on it's own or have go in manually put ext3 or ext4 on other one? what? plug thing in ide cable , power supply , that's it?

i've never done before , i'm not sure expect. don't plan on installing straight linux distro (well not in standard sense anyway). i'm gonna install xen , think it's domain 0 has have o/s installed run it's management tools. not sure linux i'll use linux.

can tell me how goes? can expect or need do?

1. yes automatically detect it.
2.they don't merge meaning on 2 drives seperated.
3. can still open , edit files on secondary drive through main drive.
