Thread: Share usb between users

hi there i've been looking solution haven't found any,here scenario wife , share same pc , both have our fast usb stick (thumb drive or usb drive) our mail , pidgin profiles in it's portable, 1 user can mount usb devices @ time, if plug udev seems restart , mount both usb drives me , wife disconnected
1. solution may have system mount usb drives instead active user (don't know howto)


ideas??? common scenario 2 users active sessions want share usb drive.

great permission problem....


few things problem. since using fat filesystem in usb, correct? fat not understand linux permissions. hack problem once mounted, usb gives full permission user mounts it. problem other users cannot use same usb, since allows user have execute, write, , read. can suggest couple of solutions not helpful , may need else

first solution, add both of storage group , change permissions, storage groups users can use usb.

second solution, change mount permission can modify usb

note: first solution more secure

not know how write udev rules right now, can might research , tell do, feeling lazy right

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
