Thread: VGA 2 S-Video Adapter

i have standard definition television , i'm trying connect pc tv. have vga, hdmi , other weird monitor output on computer. purchased vga s-video composite cable , hooked correctly pc tv.

i'm experiencing black screen. when disconnect , connect vga cable , computer, little flickering on tv never picture.

under assumption plug , play operation. missing something?

it not plugnplay.
if using video card s-video or component output lot easier..

adapter converts rgb hv sync analogue video (vga) s-video format.
adapter not convert resolution or refresh rates (or interlace).
adapter not have edid & detected vga monitor, default 1024x768.

adapter & tv have limits on accept.
tv model ?
video card (figure out weird conn) ?

tv should accept 480i60 (ntsc) or 576i50 (pal tv).
can set video modes tv format vga output having idea nvidia.

tv may accept progressive scan
try
480p or 576p

s-video can not support higher 576p (afaik).

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
