Turning off "Add Suffix to URL" causes content to disappear - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

site working fine. turned off add suffix urls in global config , i've lost below navigation bar, including on home pg. have php 5.2.17. site running on joomla 1.5.26.

i tried turning off sef urls , mod_rewrite , disabled htaccess file, got page not found errors. re-enabled sef , htaccess, , tried reloading , using different browser, still no content below menu.

i tried modifying base rewrite setting in htaccess file working subdirectory. commented out, , site worked though in subdirectory. did have livesite variable in configuration.php set correct subdirectory.

one thing had custom 301 redirects set in htaccess file old urls don't exist in site i'm working on. tried reverting default config file, too, didn't solve problem.

just tried safari see if site work, doesn't, other top menu. viewed source , code menu bar.

i'm stumped... have ideas? cache or cookie issue? again, site working fine until switched off add suffix url setting.

if site running in sub dir or domain, need modify live_site setting in configuration.php.

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
