Fonts on a NAS

i'm trying find out how inform friend adobe indesign server have fonts on cifs mounted share.

 

to best of knowledge, indesign search, automatically, c:\windows\fonts, c:\...\adobe server 5.5\fonts, \\remote\[document working folder\document fonts\

 

how go telling additional font directories? @ present, have one, there may more, mounted or made available via networked shares.

 

is there setenv() call need make? app.preferences setting?

 

i eagerly await authoritative reply.

to best knowledge -- which, far indesign server concerned, *zero* -- indesign uses of locally installed fonts, ones in adobe/common/fonts (not sure path), , ones in indesign/fonts. these paths hardcoded, there no preferences or settings change.

 

of course may differ id server, random search through dom not reveal font paths. if it's there, it's not scriptable.

 

have tried asking on id server forum?

 

(one of things wanted try, jus' laffs, see happens if put *link* font file in 1 of font folders. , if link points folder instead? ah, i'm busy real world work, no time experiment...)

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
