How do you achieve better control with the Warp Tool?

im pretty warp tool in photoshop.

but need more control can acheive 9 section grid imposes on image.

i need warp page layout situated within open book (see image attached)

i can pretty close want perfect.

i have tried using puppet warp , liquify filter fine tune warps dont thing without deteriorating image in undesired ways.

does have suggestions on how better control warps follow curves of pages more convincingly?

any resources available show advanced methods of using warp tool?

(most of find on youtube useless beginner stuff)

the trick have used make smaller pieces, 1/4 image , make sure edges mesh.
