Subclips Vs Marked Duplicate Clips
hello all,
first post forums.
i'm new user premiere , have question regarding best way split footage smaller, more manageable clips. "subclips" option seemed looking for, i've realized creates clips have hard edges. seems less desirable maintianing editable/expandable edges when comes transitions, rolling edits, etc.
i've found can create sort of pseudo subclip marking in , out locations on footage in source panel, drag/dropping project panel. can rename pseudo subclip, organize bins, , add sequences can true subclip. however, has added benefit of maintaining live, editable edges.
i'm under impression these "duplicates" still references source file (much subclip is) shouldn't have negative side effects far actual file duplication concerned. missing something?
anything simplest of projects seems it'll need decent amount of clip/asset organization succesful. if has or further insight on best way create , organize these clips i'm ears.
thank in advance can provide!
eli
you can make subclips i/o points, , @ later time choose "edit subclips" change i/o points.
