Swap brushes while maintaining stroke profile

i routinely use stroke profiles modify stokes have brush appearance. when change brush, profile lost. way found, keep stroke profile, save profile before changing brush appearance, reasign profile. wonder if programming oversight deletes profile stroke in case. has experienced , found better work-around?

 

i see better method of saving/updating/editing stroke profiles. there no way overwrite profile. again, oversite, in opinion.

 

stroke profiles should available in panel, similar brushes. powerful effects, poorly implemented.

 

i'm still working primarily, in cs5, think these features have remained same in cs6.

this issue stil exists in cs6. run frustration , had hoped fixed in new version. solution i've found reapplying saved stroke profile.

 

in addition, stroke profiles lost when blending 2 stroked objects. can't blend between 2 different stroke profiles. inbetween steps have basic profile. however, can blend between same stroke profile, , inbetween steps retain profile.

 

things weird once start transform resulting blend though. @ first profiles remain, i've found multiple transformations cause inbetween steps loose profiles. here's gets weird. using undo doesn't work. if undo state blend strokes had profiles, profiles still set basic. fix i've found expand blend , reapply saved profile strokes.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
