Thread: 3D volume rendering Packages
anyone used or have advice on medical 3d rendering packages. packages can produce 3d rotatable renderings stack of dicom slices/raw data? there loads of packages available looking recommendations really.

used use osiris moved workplaces , don't have macs about. assumed osiris compilable other os (somewhat surprisingly large open source project) seems osirix isn't interested in cross platform compatibility:

i recommend hdvr(r); provides highest interactive rendering quality huge view ports , practically unlimited data size (up 4k cube) , may go number of slices 4d. 3gb/i7 laptop may render interactively @ high quality 4k ct data. if researcher university may apply research licence: http://forms.fovia.com/forms/register.php?t=research
have highest interactive quality sufficient cpu resources mandatory have <dual i7x6cores> (gpu irrelevant). interactive rendering quality way higher on other solution on market; besides, build-in tool set extensive , versatile build virtually workflow like.
