Thread: Acer Aspire One D255 dual boot win7/ubuntu
dear ubuntu community,
bought netbook, acer aspire 1 d255.
boots android 2.1 , win7 starter, don't want android. want ubuntu.
there 1 250 gb hdd. there 4 partitions, 1 'c:', 1 4gb android downloads (which have formatted few times, keeps going that), 1 recovery partition , 1 100mb.
how rid of android install ubuntu?
tried merge 4gb part taken c volume, seems can't that.
in need of assistance!
have tested out live cd version yet, make sure netbook run ubuntu without problems? suggest install 10.10 if install, due number of bugs still need worked out 11.04.
also, have kind of recovery media in case make mistake? if not keep android now, on safe side.
did on win 7 notebook go disc management, , there option there create new partition free space on disc. created new partition in windows , installed ubuntu there.
not familiar @ android os, keep in mind, if did, should ok, afaik.
