Thread: Create a dir that points to another HDD


i running lot of simulations , interested speed things bit. workstation has 2 hdds, 1 ssd-drive (sda1) , 1 mechanical platter drive (sdb1). of course, of data on mechanical drive , ssd used booting.

however, speed things bit, wonder if possible create pointer or link in directory residing within mechanical drive, write data, in reality, ssd instead. example,
code:
 /home/me/sims/data/dump
would reside on sdb1. point mount point of ssd instead, e.g.,

 /ssdtemp/dump
