X79 Motherboard for drives

first let me think many knowledgable folks answer questions here. have been reading weeks. buying new build use lr, photoshop, , premier pro,  (plus proshow producer.) enthusiast projects myself, family, , friends. looking balance cost performance. keep system 4-5 years. (my current one  8 years old - had kids send through college.)

i keep current project(s) on desktop. after done move data nas has automated backup external drive switch offsite on weekly basis.

i have purchased 4 drives following intentions:

256 gb ssd - plextor m3 sata iii (os, programs, pagefile)

2 x 1 tb - wd black sata 6.0gb/s raid 0 (media, projects)

128 gb ssd - plextor m3 sata iii (export, previews, media cache)

i plan on using i7-3930k. leaning towards asus p9x79 pro, before push buy button want make sure selecting mobo right controllers support dives. while have built systems, have never built 1 ssd or raid.

so 2 questions - ~$2500 build,

1) modify / augment drives in way?

2) asus pro fit? or there better choice?

thank much.

1) yes, change drives:

- 128gb ssd (os, programs)

- 2x1tb raid0 wd blacks (media , projects, cache)

- use budget 256gb ssd fund additional 2x1tb raid 0 array (exports, media cache, media cache db, pagefile)

2) think highly of asus's boards i7-3930k series cpus, not familiar enough how it's sata ports configured comment
