Does PE10 install as a 32-bit or 64-bit application on Windows 8 64 bit?

premiere elements 10 released 64 bit application when on windows 7 64 bit. other operating systems, still 32 bit application running in 32 bit compatibility mode of 64 bit system.

 

for me, poses interesting question premiere elements 10 , how set recognize 1 operating system another. still premiere elements 10 on windows 7 64 bit. ask, if install premiere elements 10 on windows 8 64 bit, premiere elements 10 32 or 64 bit application?

 

has 1 been there , done , found answer?

it doesn't happen automatically, tony. must choose 64-bit disc install 64-bit version.

 

although, i'm not sure happens if download program adobe site. recognizes if you're on mac or pc -- i'm not sure if knows if you've got 64-bit windows 7.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
