Long encoding times for footage captured with BMD H.264 Pro Recorder

hi there,

i'm experiencing long render times when encoding footage captured bmd h.264 pro recorder. watching encode (either through premiere cs6, or ame) looks encoding stops periods of time. other footage can encode 50 minute project in 15-20 minutes, encoding footage pro recorder 1:1 in terms of project length/encode time.

the pro recorder uses quicktime h.264 captures, don't know if causing issues. don't seem have same issue other h.264 formats.

system info:

  • windows 8 enterprise (rtm)
  • hp z820 dual hexcore processors, 32gb ram
  • quadro 2000 plus tesla maximus configuration
  • all latest updates have been installed (yesterday)
  • mpe enabled project
  • also tested on z800 windows 7 , got same results

editing footage fast , playback through timeline looks great. have suggestion?

thanks,

jeff

quicktime still 32 bit process , 64 bit pp has use sort of "band-aid" make quicktime files work right.  it's possible might slow things down.
