Premiere Pro CS6 Generates HUGE file - Encoder settings help please
using ppcs6 create 6 minute avi file. source video avi screen capture camtasia application spread across 3 widescreen monitors, making screen/video resolution 5760x1200 frame rate of 30. need output same resolution/aspect ratio (camtasia not this, hence use of premiere).
the initial screen capture under 2gb.
the avi output media encoder 45gb big use.
is there settings can use create file of approximately same size (under 3gb) , still sharp original capture?
my current encoder settings are:
codec: microsoft video 1
quality: 90
width: 5760
height: 1200
frame rate: 30
field order: lower first
aspect: square pixels (1.0)
depth: 8-bit
keyframe interval: 8
optimize stills checked.
camtasia files use own techsmith codec (tscc) highly optimized screen captures hardly changes frame frame, , realistically can't beat of default codecs, designed full-motion video. mv1 file size i'd expect such massive resolution. also, need 30fps? screencaps ok @ 15 or 12 @ push.
you should able encode avi/tscc if have camtasia on same machine prem, if not can download codec pack free techsmith's website.
