Thread: CPUs constantly running at 100%


kubuntu natty narwhal, 2 x 3ghz processors, 1.5gig ram.

day today, both processors have been running @ 100%, result desktop running unbelievably slowly. looking @ system monitor, doesn't show processes running causing - it's usual. i've tried quitting that's running - still no effect.

ideas might causing this? or alternatives system monitor might give me better clue what's going on?

it nepomuk, akonadi & strigi indexing home directory, consuming mass amounts of ram , disk space.
