Thread: hello, and missing Applications/System from menu


hello there!

rest assured, i'm posting after reading several previous posts, none of seemed of worked. or possibly misunderstood them. go either way.

ok, i'm new ubuntu, , got system 76 lemur. far love it. first thing wanted start customising. go system settings -> main menu , see have wealth of options both "applications" , "system" menus. however, i'm not seeing either on actual main menu. "main menu" has following pull-down menus: file, edit, view, places, help.

far nothing have read seems of worked. tried deleting application menu file suggested here:

that's way it's supposed be. mine's same way. using unity interface, right?
