Thread: HP dv6-3185ED

hp pavilion dv6-3185ed (01/2011) freezes on reboot or shut down.
tried (k)ubuntu 8.xx 11.xx (and several other penguins).

after fresh install of ubuntu 10.10 (_64, us) or 11.04 (_64, us) have no wireless reboot or shut down works.
after (wired) updating wireless works laptop freezes on reboot or shut down.
keyboard no longer respond @ power off put halt.

first having tried leaving default disabled in startup applications: bluetooth manager, check new hardware drivers,
evolution alarm notify, print queue applet, remote desktop, update notifier, user folder update, ubuntu 1 , visual assistance.

front or suggestions

after installing restricted ati drivers hp dv6 unable start ubuntu @ , freezes completely. maybe anti freeze help?
2.
no penguin, whether it's ubuntu, red hat, gentoo, mageia a.s.o., seem able work in specific computer.
after yet day spent i'll say: sale / se vende / te koop
it's manufactured hp in such way 1 can / may use pre installed os.

did find solutions this? have bought hp dv6-3180ea (similar setup yours, imagine), similar problems. laptop freezes on shut down. installed restricted drivers last time, , broke completely. i've reinstalled...it still doesn't shut down i'm hoping there's solution. i'd forgotten how horrible work windows, current choice!!

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
