Administrator account locked out - You do not have access - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
hopefully may have solved issue or @ least have indication of root cause.
my super user account getting error when try login. message states -- not have access administrator section of site.
i did notice few days ago system had rebooted whilst had files open under ftp session , may have had admin session running well.
i have gone users table under phpmyadmin , updated password , checked group id , user id correctly mapped. looks i'm still getting error. have seen few similar threads errors after permission changes applied groups. didnt make changes have caused issue.
i have thought through , there few options. isp doesnt allow ssh connectivity verification of file permissions bit painful.
the site still under development had yet run site backup. 3 options have come last resort are:
- reinstall joomla in subdomain, install required modules , overwrite db copy of current db. (this should work ok if error being caused bad file permissions)
- reinstall joomla in subdomain, install required modules , overwrite db copy of current db. (if doesnt work suggest issue in db, backed out , replaced selective content)
- reinstall joomla , rebuild site
i'm hoping may have first hand experience type of issue. been using joomla 3 4 years , have not had issue before.
btw i'm using shape 5 vertex template. appreciate constructive input.
cheers
