okay, don't understand what's going on here. poor student, paying own way, why not want go buck-a-day cloud program? web , interactive media student, has need , automatic updates. okay, (think) underastand runs on browser (the trial didn't). but, if can $3,000 worth of top of line, industry standard software buck-a-day, why isn't better sliced bread? please me out. trial expires around first of month , have every intention of joining cloud so, if know why isn't cool offer think is, please respond!!!

so you're asking downside of cloud?

 

the primary downside never stop paying monthly fee.

 

to keep using software beyond cs6 cs7 , cs8 , onwards forever paying monthly fee. stops people dead in tracks because refuse subscribe software on principle. others embrace based on they'd pay upgrade on several years anyway.

 

its value determine. if think it's winner, go it.

 

bear in mind when stop paying, lose access software , ability edit existing files (unless own earlier version).

 

you can either re-join cloud or buy full (perpetual license) version outright again if it's still available.

 

other cloud offers says on box: full access master collection apps plus other adobe services such web hosting.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
