Thread: Ubuntu (or Xubuntu) dual boot with Win98

hey all, got bit of strange , difficult issue. repaired friends pc (winxp) , felt inspired tinker old 98 system.

first i'm trying find out how dual boot win98se distro of ubuntu.

system's sprecs are:
gigabyte ga-7ix f4a motherboard
amd slot 900mhz thunderbird
384mb ram (3x 128mb)
120gb hdd (15gb ubuntu, 4gb linux swap, rest win98se)
dvd/cd-rw combo drive
6x cd-rom drive
sb live 5.1
3com etherlink xl combo (actually japan)
aopen pa3000 plus (nvidia riva tnt2)
via usb 2.0 controller card

able xubuntu 6.06 run , installed, can't figure out how dual boot. prefer 8.04 or later since more familiar ones.

if i've left out please let me know.
advice , appreciated.

win 98 - whoa, didn't expect encounter 1 more

support ended many years ago, can guarantee have virus. delete entire hard drive , install lubuntu 11.04.

6.06 , 8.04 unsupported.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
