CSS disabling or changing in article or com/mod/plg? - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello people,

please take note of nick ;-) , since not native english speaker hope story makes sense. might have gotten terms mixed up, sorry that.

i have made website joomla 1.5 once, 2 or 3 years ago. , not familiair coding, not mind looking, reading , learning, guess joomla thing me when going website friend of mine. why chose joomla again. being aware of current limitations , need able change layout/style/colors etc on site design if wanted, went , bought full version of artisteer 4.0 , have deployed 2.5.7 (need upgrade .8 tomorrow) installation of joomla. have made template artisteer , incorporated 2 lingual/languaged (?) site. goes well, placing content , graphics etc. have played around bit components, modules , plugins, momentarily in area of placing custom contact forms.

only did try out contact part of joomla first time. "driven" due fact other contact form extensions tried ok, had "a bug" thought, or weird mark going on, having capitals in form fields fill in. now, when trying in-joomla contact component , form did dawn me there no bugs or other strange things going on extensions tried, of course using header styles incorporated css files artisteer generated , wasn't aware of since did not set purposely(?). luckily styles enough used in site want keep them. however, able disable them pages/articles/extensions, can tell me how need go doing that?

my gut feeling tells me can use article or extension options in back-end make happen, , think need use class suffix can set per page/article/extension "deployment". , assuming can add such new css class/style in css main template through joomla template editor have/be empty/default markup, , call using "class suffix".

can please tell me if correct, , if so, how go fastest way?

thanks in advance!

would reply in thread applicable me same?

viewtopic.php?p=2932195#p2932195

and if so, when adding:

code: select all

.mymodule { background: #fff; border: 1px solid #000; }

would "remove" other header styles set previously? or change ones specify in code? since want keep other css styles set , temporarily remove/disable/workaround h-tag(s) (h1, h2, h3, h4 etc) generated , used extensions have tried.

(i not want hijack thread... that's not interpreted friendly, experience)

also, if using suffix per page different css make up, standard option in joomla, why extension such needed? http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... ting/14053
is difference code placed in backend edit page versus template.css file?

you know cool though... gui in in backend, color picker, font picker etc. :-)
