Frame Rate issue with AJA Kona 3G

hello!

 

this might daft newbie problem, have spent fair amount of time googling no luck. perhaps here can point me in right direction? i'd grateful!

 

we trying set windows machine adobe cs5.5 , aja kona 3g i/o card.

based in uk our production environment 1080i25 625/25 b&b timing reference.

 

in kona control panel can set format 1080i25 - once applied, video display fed kona resize correctly, , show pink-to-green transition across screen looks ... fine. mean, how can tell without movement, colours usual sdi test colours , aspect ratio ok, , there's no flicker.

 

but run after effects, picture on output monitor jumps, , kona control panel changes output 1080i29.97. , don't see decent output, let alone usable preview ae.

 

now we've been around ae settings far find, , in composition points @ 1080i25. nevertheless, ae running, kona feels compelled change.

we stumped. bug, feature, or (as suspect, simple newbie misconfig somewhere deeper?).

 

here's of usual background info:

hp z800

win7 64bit

adobe cs5.5 patched current level

aja kona 3g firmware 4/9/12 (latest)

i have never seen issue this. best thing can suggest in contact aja tech support. knowledgeable , helpful issues this. luck.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
