Frustrated with "User Manual" re: Mask Info

hey ...

 

maybe it's me ... frustrated trying find proper/up date info on how use adobe ps , other products.

 

for example ... have been trying learn vector mask , go "user manual" , type in vector mask ... well, while reading come across dialog that's suppose explain icons in mask pallet ...

see how there 3 icons @ top right? well, notice difference on cs6 below red arrow points ...

arg!! mean, sure ... may on tired , bit more irritated usual gosh darn ... how suppose learn stuff when adobe cannot bother update "user manual" ??

 

okay, aside blowing off steam , yes, sorry , it's in no way directed @ adobe ...

 

could please direct me site or link can find proper cs6 "how to" info?? appreciate time , assitance.

well, documentation not used , seems unlikely in foreseeable future.

if understand correctly approach has been changed , kind of permanent work-in-progress supposed cover multiple versions.

 

that aside think item in question not bad – after have figured out there no masks panel anymore , correctly adressed properties panel.

and there no icon filter mask owed fact had no smart object applied smart filter(s) selected.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
