module_shoppingcartsummary not refreshing when in master page

hi,

 

i have module_shoppingcartsummary located @ top of template page. (see code)

before add item cart displays correct messge cart being empty (image 1)

when add item cart see

to clear need press f5 or change page. if has ides i'd grateful.

using template or anything? have javascript running?
