PSE10 Remove Duplicate Photos

i running pse10 on win 7, , have found myself bit of mess i'd clean up.  catalog has many hundred duplicate photos.  these pairs of items point same physical photo via different path.  follow pattern of c:\documents , settings\chris\my documents\...   and  c:\users\chris\pictures...

 

i have tried using search duplicate photos function, identify duplicates, finds tons of false positives, photos merely alike not actual duplicates.  sorting through these not feasible.

 

i perhaps identify documents versions deleting shortcut documents in os , seeing images need reconnected.  tags attached c:\documents , settings versions.

 

i'm looking way identify actual duplicate photos in catalog, rather merely similar ones.

 

the workflow imagine is: identify duplicate photos | transfer tags c:\users version | delete c:\my documents version.

 

anyone have suggestions?

ps  i'll note experienced databases , sql, on off chance catalog simple sqlite database can manipulate.

are saying photos exist in 1 , 1 place on hard drive, organizer has 2 thumbnails each one, each thumbnail pointing different location?

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
