ubuntu installed on (10.10)

laptop:
connected same network, can access pc (tried through ping 192.168.1.251)
ubuntu installed on (11.04)

tried this:
code:
sudo mount -t smbfs -o username=gabriel //192.168.1.251/ /mnt/

i appreciate help. thanks.

lets first goes wrong. try list shares available samba server, execute following command:
$ smbclient -l yourhostname

should see list of shares available on server. if not, incorrectly configured.

if see list, try connecting service.
