Thread: How to uninstall Nvidia!?

hello

*i tried remove ubuntu software center(same other apps)
*sudo apt-get remove nvidia-glx
*sudo sh nvidia* --uninstall

it's still there!!, im using ubuntu 10.04

hi,
try uninstalling nvidia driver using synaptic package manager instead. open synaptic , search nvidia , see nvidia packages still installed. mark correct ones removal click apply.

nvidia-glx-*** 'transitional' packages (meta packages) used automatically install different nvidia driver packages. example, package called nvidia-glx-173 not package driver inside it, has set of instructions install driver package called "nvidia-173". removing nvidia-glx-*** package not remove driver instructed install.
