Areca 1882IX PCIE 3.0 Raid Controller - Need help

i'm extremely frustrated!   installed new areca raid card , can't work!

 

first issue of creating driver disk.   after hassling tools 2 hours found old diskette drive , installed on system.  worked.

 

then when tried install driver, first didn't seem install.  clicked tab + f6 during boot-up , apparently did nothing.  looked installed something.   windows 7/64 blue-screened until restored earlier version.   went through install blue-screen process twice!  

 

anybody know tricks making raid card work?   remember pcie v3.0, not 2.0.   card ready prime time? 

 

if thing won't work, there other quality controllers work?

i'm guessing hassles largely caused motherboard bios not being set right. hardware controller cards (all of them, not areca) boot order important.

 

if setting boot drive or array on areca must change bios boot controller, not motherboard sata port (the default).

 

or, if using boot drive attached 1 of motherboard sata ports, leave controller card out of pc until win7 installed , add afterwards. f6 special boot stuff required if need boot controller card.

 

finally, regarding future areca bios (firmware) updates, work fine using web browser tool when use mozilla firefox; not seem work when use internet expolorer.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
