CS 6 Photoshop Error:1 on startup - no installer error
i have case number , have been working kris in adobe tech support. problem started when cs5 bridge stopped working. in fact, when double click on bridge.exe.file, show in windows task manager , promptly dissapear without splash screen. yes, reset prefs on 3 check boxes, , did clean installs... multiple times. came attention none of 64 bit programs in cs5 working, kris suggested download cs6 because uses different installer. cs 5 installer not placing files should have. placing 90%in program files , not program files (x86) folder. cs6 hoped issue fixed, not. if try , open photoshop 64 in cs6 or open illustrator in cs6 error:1. bridge 64 runs perfectly. kris , have checked through every scrap of system , program files , can not find reason happening.
today discovered in c:\program files\common files\adobe\startup scripts cs6\adobe photoshop\photoshop there file missing. there should "photoshop_en_us.dat" file , there not. same true illustrator. bridge have dat. file , working fine. understanding picking correct language on installer important successful install because adobe uses language selected part of individual activation number.
the root of problem(s) have been experiencing relate installer cs 5 , cs 6. adobe stated first person have specific kind of problem installer. case number 6183449198. have sent multiple log files escilation team week ago , still have not heard them.
also, kris l in philippines call center has been great work on problem. have worked try , discover going wrong , how fix it. without help, know have no idea problem be. is, installer cs5 $#@% , installer cs6, while marginally better, still needs taken tothe drawing board still not delivering files needed run of programs in cs6. kris statedthat chris cox (of adobe systems) may person talk issue, not have email address , may way contact him.
