First Custom Page - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi guys,

i have question. did post yahoo q&a no 1 answer .

as know, joomla has index.php right , want have first custom page executed before index.php.

my plan:
if change joomla's index.php index2.php, index2.php ruin sub-files once knew if relating index.php? mean? example, component/module/plugin relates index.php , renamed default index.php index2.php , put custom page in index.php sub-files call index.php instead renamed file, index2.php.

i tried install component/module can handle custom page. however, displayed sidebar menu. if not mistaken, can displayed in middle/content.

my custom page contain 1 image has button enter. once clicked, leads index2.php.

any solutions

well aside obvious question 'why want that?', answer quite simple think.
every browser first looks index.htm or index.html page. if doesn't exist, try index.php.
so try naming opening page want index.html, , linking image index.php. think work...
