HD and memory for editing DSLR
hi, kind of follows on previous post bit more specific.
firstly 16gb ok editing dslr footage. ive seen lots of people talking 16gb , seems amount. have 8, whitch adobe seem recomend. going 8 16 make mutch difference. more make big diferenct (24 logical next step me).
also in terms of hd have been loking @ basic raid0 system. toss between seagate baracuda , samsung f3. f3 not @ fast lot cheaper , have heard lots of reports of seagate drives dieing (i have bead barakuda 1tb on desk currently). thought good.

.....read more on forum......your dslr camera may produce codec problematic ppro cs6......even beefy machines can choke if 32bit quirk time importer activated importing mov file.....jeff bellune recommends changing mov file extention mp4 fool ppro not use quirk time 32bit importer. cs6 seems have avchd scrubbing issue other camera codecs......find , read further that. maybe better stick 5.03, if have that, dslr....depends camera.
contributers on forum recommending 32gb memory cs6 ppro....past versions ,( 5 , ), did ok 16gb minimum.
read more articles , threads on forum, visit ppbm5 website see video editing benchmark test results of various machines , configurations see configuration may, or may not, work well. read harm's suggestions , comments....he , bill gherke,rjl, , other contributors have saved countless people many headaches and disappointments giving knowledgeable advice based on hard work...not mention preventing novice fools me wasting significant money on stuff won't work !!!!
