The Color of Clipped Highlights

after watching jeff sengstack's color correction series on over lynda dove correcting first time home movie.  going when i'm using rgb color corrector brighten things highlights lit sources lightbulbs - white - start turning light green or aqua.  if use levels same results white hot spots stay white (crushed, of course).

 

i've never seen behavior color correction tools in photoshop or after effects.  make pixel value white become darker when gain up'd?

you have realize when vvideo white blown out there no information there. when shooting whole scene light perfect , not have blown out highlights u can set scene how now. after @ lights under expose scene little. because can grab information more being under exposed more being on exsposed. ive done alot of tests on this. know how feels have candal or light bulb blown out hair pulling out crazy. try under expose little in situation. u have have them on exposed. u can change lights on subject  , keep lights around ligts offset them rimlight im getting alot more things.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
