i've made leap windows vista ubuntu 11.4.

lately, window displaying main hard drive file system has started automatically launching (more once hour). seems happen when i'm using computer, , timing doesn't indicate specific schedule. why doing , how stop it?

do mean nautilus window displaying contents of / ?

if so, think had bug while ago. seem remember setting mounted drives show on desktop fixed it.....that of course if have them hidden!

show mounted drives on desktop:

gconftool-2 --type boolean --set /apps/nautilus/desktop/volumes_visible 1

hide mounted drives desktop:

code:

gconftool-2 --type boolean --set /apps/nautilus/desktop/volumes_visible 0

once you've set show, logout & in. if try , set no show.
