Thread: FSCK running at start up=no boot
hi all
asking pointers on how system booting, aint... reliably.
noob hope terminology close enough...
after powering system post screen ubuntu starts booting splash screen screen fsck util-linux-ng 2.17.2 , lot of other txt. problem used eventualy boot finding more , more difficult boot (freezes @ fsck txt screen)
had been using ctrl+alt+del restart use alt+sysreq+r/e/i/s/u/b
how configure or stop fsck?
how perform hdd , file check?

post specifications computer and, if possible, following information:
boot ubuntu live cd/usb. choose option "try ubuntu without changes." once desktop loads come here , following:
1. download boot info script in zipped file. there link in signature.
2. once downloaded, move boot info script either copying or dragging , dropping zipped folder onto desktop , unzip contents using right-click extract here.
3. open folder , copy script desktop (you can drag , drop if like)
4. open terminal , run following command
this create results.txt file on desktop. paste entire contents of file here in new post. once pasted highlight text , click # sign on toolbar place code tags around text.code:sudo bash ~/desktop/boot_info_script.sh
