Thread: How can i resize my ubuntu partition!

hi everyone,i glaad here, ubuntu great have problem , help.

tried ubuntu , want primary os made partition ubuntu 20gb because didnt know if that.now want resize partition 70-80 gb , dont know how that,i searched didn't find step step guide,so ask help, the thing know must use program called gparted,i tell me easiest way resize partition, thank much!

you can't edit partition "in use" need live cd.

live cd, open gparted (it's installed in live cd), right click on partition want shrink, select resize, drag grip shrink it, press ok, right click on partition want enlarge, drag grip, press ok , apply green v.

if options greyed out, may need unmount swap or other partition (from same right-click menu).

partitions have fixed spot, can't take space of beginning , add ending. when have messed (e.g. deleted partition or shrunk wrong partition), close gparted , begin again. long don't press v, nothing happens.

resizing can take lot of time. don't interrupt or end broken partitions.
