Thread: How do I save a configuration file


in home folder?

trying follow advice 1.http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=9650052&postcount=6

in advice stinkeye says "save config in home folder .conkyrc"

noobie guessing s/he means should written @ terminal , somehow saved home folder using terminal.

how? or have misunderstood advice?

please can give me idiot (noo2ubuntoo) proof advice on how this?

open text editor (e.g. gedit), paste configuration inside, , save file ".conkyrc" inside home folder (/home/username).

don't need use cli-based text editor, can if want to.
