Thread: Screensaver in Kubuntu. (Yes, I've clicked don't start )

here's thing. i'm watching video. half hour in, screen goes blank. pressing shift restores it. i've disabled screensaver in both power management, , in system-settings->screensaver. (and if find person thought having 2 places configure screensaver idea, ... )

have confess adopter of ubuntu (well, kubuntu, i've hated gnome), i'm getting increasingly frustrated every new release seems have more bugs. setting printer, disabling screen savers (my screen, me, saved, thanks!) disabling passwords on screen savers, etc - end being tweaks in config files aren't exposed gui tools. don't me wrong - can't beat command line, if there's gui should something, should work.

_please_ how switch off ************* (it annoys me much!) screensaver in kubuntu?

couple of pointers if kind enough reply:

1. it's computer. if want configure sudo allow me not type password, will. post comment saying "security process ..." short shrift.

oh, , if you've read far, why on earth box enter forum message 16 lines deep? sits in silly little box in middle of 1920 x 1280 laptop screen, , yes, know not has such nice screen.

i can't answer screensaver question, answer little up/down arrows @ top-right of editing box next font-size icon. clicking down arrow expand size of editing box.
