Thread: SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not permitted.

using ubuntu 11.04. newbie linux.

i'm trying set sensitivity value of wlan controller. believe command:

sudo iwconfig wlan0 sens x

[x percentage value,aint right??]

returns error:

i've been troubleshooting whole day, no result. inevitable, guys... please.

in looking @ iwconfig's man page, "modern designs seems control thresholds automatically." in other words, wireless adapter rejected command. if iwconfig blindly passes on in command, might try "low," example. (found googling rtl8191 sensitivity)
