Thread: Wifi in Lenovo v460 working

i have lenovo ideapad v460. wifi worked under windows , ubuntu. then, happend. sorry vague, i'm not entirely sure happened. wifi ceased work under both windows , ubuntu. lenovo support able working under windows. pressing fn+f4 brought dialog enabled , disabled wifi , bluetooth in software. wifi disabled, , when enabled, worked under windows. did not, however, fix under ubuntu.

fix ubuntu, tried previous kernel versions, other broadcom drivers, uninstalling , reinstalling wireless drivers provided "additional drivers." while wired networking works , has worked (except when messed kernel modules, fixed reboot), wireless complains either "wireless disabled hardware switch" (it isn't, bluetooth controlled same switch, , works) or "wireless disabled" in networking menu in menu bar.

advice? time,

indigo.
