About switching (newbie question #1a)

coming aperture trying lr4.1, i've found painful learn differences when know aperture well.

i have victoria bampton's book, going through.

 

but initial questions:

 

-i've seen definite buggy behaviour (forget issue now), went away when relaunched s/w:

how stable lr generally? (being @ 4.1 release level, thought should pretty stable; sounds adobe s/w stability not near aperture reports i've seen buggy behaviour (ps on other hand i've never had problem with; upgraded cs6 in part why got lr 4.1)

 

-i don't know if bug or user issue: in grid view folder select photo (a virtual version, if matters), switch loupe view:

why arrow key (l or r arrow) jump wildly distant photo [relative grid view , relative filmstrip @ botto] , back, instead of moving along next/adjacent photo beside current photo?

just tried again , jumping adjacent photo , back: eg keep pressing r arrow , toggles between these 2 adjacent images:

now must point out these 2 photos have black , white diamond.

but have loupe view not compare view. going on?

i noticed if clicked on 1 of diamonds in filmstrip seemed have exited funky mode. somehow got right in it. noticed had second display turned on , turning off got me out of funny mode. confusing.

it appears secondary display can have own display mode: eg i've selected loupe view, once secondary display enabled, showed compare view despite having chosen loupe view, seems turning on second display lets lr ignore you're set view...and have manually change second display view loupe fix issue.

i think issue diamonds on putting me in compare view against will/my command , against displayed view mode shown in view menu (all because 2nd display enabled , decided use own view mode!!). sound right? bug or adobe call undocumented feature or what???

 

-brushes:

is there way after i've applied 1 brush, hit new apply second brush, me go , further modify first brush? eg add or modify strength of first brush effect?

if so, not seeing in ui go access that.

 

-keywords:

i imported keyword list , shows fine.

i had photo , dragged several keywords keyword list onto photo , let go (when dragged onto photo green circle plus sign showed, suggesting adding keyword photo).

but published photo on smugmug showed no keywords.

so go lr , keywords don't see anything.

where images assigned keywords show up? in box below i've highlighted in red? tried again, , after dragging , dropping keyword on image, box remains empty!

if have multiple photos selected, example 1 visible , 1 selected have scroll way down see in grid, arrow keys in loupe mode behave ... scroll left or right next selected photo, not next photo

sure. there "pin", circular icon represents starting location of each brush. if click on pin, can add additional edits or brush strokes

depends on did. publish smugmug, there option removes metadata on export. in export dialog box.

 

go lr , keywords aren't there ... did chance re-import these photos?
