[DPS v22 CS5.5 CV v10] Rounding error with folio size

hi all,

while testing possible bug "shifting" mso contents (no problems in cs5.5 far can tell), ran bug, think wellknown, in building 2048 x 1536px indesign cs5.5 files folio size of 1024 x 768 px output ipad 2 , 3.

 

confifuration:

 

indesign cs5.5 v7.5.3 build 333

osx 10.6.8

 

tested in adobe content viewer on ipad3

(via usb cable attached)

 

the acv on ipad 1 came along dps v20.

folio size: 1024 x 768 px

orientation: horizontal & vertical

problem: vertical orientation showing correctly.
when switching ipad3 vertical horizontal orientation scrollable view of vertical contents showing up.

 

solution:
change page size of horizontal oriented indesign file 2047.9 px x 1536 px, remove old folio, build new one.

 

since indesign cs5.5 not have fixed standard preset 2048 x 1536 px size files, advised prepair a  custom document preset 2047.9 x 1536 px files. tested, if 2047.9 px vertical orientated files , went well… otherwise you  need 2 individual presets…

 

this rounding error should not occur in indesign cs6 since fixed standard preset 2048 x 1536 px available there…

note:

i did not change pages individually 1024x768px 2048 x 1536px, changed document setup…

does document settings have units set points/picas or pixels? make sure document settings pixels, there rounding errors if use points/picas. our recommendation use pixels.
