Having choices in drop down list equal a form field

greetings,

 

i'm running acrobat x on windows 7 ultimate, , need drop down field work pre-calc'd fields specific spreadsheet function.

 

in essence, have field x , field y, , continue calculation, user needs select either value x or y, these dynamic based on values entered earlier.  want use drop down reflect these, in case user goes , changes x or y.

 

a =  (x or y) + z

 

x , y variables based on earlier form data, , z known value, entered in field

 

i know how calculated drop down list (x or y) + z, not how reflect variable values of x or y.

 

i hope explained problem enough.

so want dynamically populate dropdown values entered in 2 other (text?) fields, correct?
