Reader 10.1.4. Printing PDF by command line

hi

in application have developed print pdf files defined printer using command line, such as

"c:\program files (x86)\adobe\reader 10.0\reader\acrord32.exe" /n /t "mypdffile.pdf" "\\servername\printername"

i have noticed change of behaviour reader 10.1.4 previous versions.

to test locally share local printer (e.g. share name "bobsprinter") connected machine ("bobsmachine") , include in command line follows

"c:\program files (x86)\adobe\reader 10.0\reader\acrord32.exe" /n /t "mypdffile.pdf" "\\bobsmachine\bobsprinter"

i have noticed reader 10.1.4 print job no longer submitted, unless take out machine name , leave in shared printer name:

"c:\program files (x86)\adobe\reader 10.0\reader\acrord32.exe" /n /t "mypdffile.pdf" "bobsprinter"

where works ok.

question: why there change of behaviour in 10.1.4? there need consider? have not come across in release notes.

i have noted on customer's site command line (with machien , printer name) still works ok 10.1.4. maybe because shared printer on network?

many in advance.

hi bob,

thanks reporting problem faced you. investigations suggest command line printing behavior between reader 10.1.3 , 10.1.4 still same.

it prints document on reader 10.1.3 , 10.1.4 when not specify servername(localhost) on command line. however, prints both with/without using servername when acrobat used.

thanks,
