Thread: all web browsers download .php files

hey guys,
im not sure if in right category seems applicable.

i'm not sure if problem apache2, php or web browser configurations

i'm trying load .php files in google chrome , firefox , instead of displaying script executed on server, browsers download file.

hope makes sense, so
http://localhost/websitename/index.php download index.php file , not display in browser.

on local server too, xampp correct.

also, gets me, "phpinfo();" .php files works correctly nothing else is.

cheers

"localhost" address cannot accessed anywhere network, , depending on server , network setup, host computer. can't see @ using link.

need either post ip address (don't that!), or set dns proxy @ site dyndns.com (a better idea).

wouldn't though unless know you're doing far securing xampp installation.

can't else @ moment, maybe later today...

edit: sorry, it's way in morning , haven't had enough coffee yet. realized didn't intend active link.

doubt of help, never know:

also, page tat keeps downloading custom built or distribution (joomla, wordpress, or that)?

xampp control panels, phpmyadmin etc. load correctly?
